Extremely organized, our Administrator Patricia keeps the team and the office running smoothly and ensures taxes are filed on time and files are complete and orderly.
Patricia loves the Island life and relocated to Victoria from North Vancouver almost 6 years ago. As an avid gardener and foodie, she finds Victoria is a perfect fit for these pursuits.
She enjoys cooking up a storm and trying new recipes from the freshest of local ingredients. As a former competitive racquetball player, she continues to stay active with yoga, golf and bowling - all Victoria`s favorite pastimes.
Doug founded Doug Lee & Associates in 2005 after many years with prestigious and high profile firms across Canada. Doug launched Freshstartbc because of his passion for helping his clients find their own financial fresh start.
Doug believes in giving back to the community where he lives and works and he is a strong supporter of the Arts and local community events like the Victoria Cycling Festival. An avid mountain biker, runner and scuba diver, Doug came to Victoria because of the active lifestyle and his love of nature.
Doug specializes in finding alternatives to bankruptcy and his many years of experience are complemented by his industry credentials; Doug is a licenced bankruptcy trustee, a chartered accountant (CA), and a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP)
Jennifer Thom has been an Estate Administrator for 15 years and is a BIA. Certified Insolvency Counsellor. Jennifer's patient, non-judgmental approach provides a comfortable environment during what can be a difficult time.
She enjoys helping people work through the process to find the right solution for a fresh start. Jennifer's claim to fame was when she worked at Walt Disney World on a cultural representative program. The greatest part of the experience was the friendships she made and still has to this day. In Jennifer's free time she is busy with her young family.
Believing in an active life style, Jennifer can be found on weekends hiking or practising yoga when time permits.
The first face that you see when you walk through the door is Paul, who handles reception and administration duties in our office. Paul strives to greet each visitor with a positive attitude, timely service and good advice.
Paul joins us after spending the last ten years working in the hospitality industry where his desire to help people combined with a problem solving 'can do' attitude helped him to excel. Paul now looks to apply these traits to the important task of making every fresh start a positive experience.
Paul is an avid hockey fan and in his time away from the office enjoys working out and hiking. He also enjoys photography and can often be seen taking pictures around the Capital region.
